    About Chris

I am the Co-Founder and Senior Consultant for Realized Worth based in Toronto, Canada and serving clients across the globe. My expertise is in designing and implementing Employee Volunteer Programs. Over the past 20 years, I've worked alongside NPO's across North and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia utilizing a model that elevates volunteerism from a task-oriented activity to a transformative experience.

Recently, my partner Angela Parker and I acted as advisers in the writing of “Mapping Success in Employee Volunteering: The Drivers of Effectiveness for Employee Volunteering and Giving Programs and Fortune 500 Performance”; produced by Boston College and authored by Bea Boccalandro. We also act as expert writers on several websites including Volunteer Canada’s CorporateVolunteering.ca, Businessfightspoverty.com and 3blmedia.com. I am currently collaborating on a book which will be a comprehensive guide to Corporate Social Responsibility for HR managers.

I am the proud father of four children, each of whom are rigorously working to transform me into a better dad. My wife and I currently divide our time between Indianapolis, Indiana and Toronto, Ontario.

I recently had the opportunity to appear as a guest on the show. Its called Career Buzz and its hosted by Mark Franklin at the University of Toronto. I imagine that many of you are experiencing the evolutionary processes of your own careers and just might find yourselves encouraged by the topics on Career Buzz.

If you're interested in hearing some of my story, you can listen to it by clicking on this link: http://www.careercycles.com/career-buzz/2009-career-buzz-shows  (The show is called "Creating Moments of Epiphany.")

There are very few experts in this field who have the vision to take coprorate volunteering programs to the next level, and even fewer who can understand the context on all sides of the equation and tanslate that into practical, manageable and successful corporate programs. Chris does this expertly. Chris shares his knowledge generously in his blog which is always a pleasure and an inspiration to read.
